Working alongside the Finance team, accounts receivable officer will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate billing and collections, maintaining accurate records of all financial transactions, and reconciling accounts.
This is a non-ongoing role for 6 months.

**The key responsibilities of the role include**:

- Accurate and timely processing of invoices and customer deposits
- Reconciliation of client accounts, responding to debtors' queries across multiple currencies and jurisdictions
- Oversight of HSBC and other banking systems
- Performing bank reconciliations for Australian and International accounts
- Collection of outstanding balances
- Assisting in preparation of accurate monthly financial and management reports
- Assistance with month end journals for all AR related transactions
- Preparing monthly general ledger reconciliations
- Daily cashflow reporting and analysis
- Maintaining the Accounts Receivable mailbox daily
- Liaising with colleagues in the finance team and other parts of the business
- Adhering to business processes and accounting policies
- Preparation of ad-hoc analyses and reports
- Provide support to the GM Finance and Group Reporting Manager as required
- Any other duties and responsibilities as directed from time to time

About you

- Degree in Commerce / Accounting
- At least 2 years' experience with high volume processing as an Accounts Receivable Officer or similar Finance/Purchasing role
- Knowledge of GST, VAT, WHT (and other relevant taxes) and willingness to learn as Seeing Machines grows domestically and internationally
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills, particularly with MS Excel (formulas and pivots) and MS Outlook
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite (preferable)
- Ability to work effectively in a team and respond cooperatively to the requirements of other company members,
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and enthusiasm for continuous improvement,
- Ability and desire to continuously learn new skills,
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to champion ideas and achieve consensus within a team, and
- Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated ability to set priorities and meet deadlines, and
- Ability to operate and plan in a rapidly changing environment.
