SALARY: $1,149.90 - 1,317.13 pw + Super

The Yards Officer will undertake a range of functions to contribute to the smooth operation and activities across the depot site. The position will contribute to the operational requirements of depot weigh bridge, receive, issue and record materials in and out of the depot, general housekeeping of the yard site, and support the stores as required all whilst providing a high standard of support service to operational teams.

Essential:

- Considerable experience operating a frontend Loader/Backhoe including certification equivalent to LB/LL licence or equivalent Verification of Competency (VOC)
- Class LF Forklift certification issued by SafeWork NSW
- Work health & Safety General Construction Induction (White Card)
- Manual handling skills
- Asbestos awareness and safety
- Record keeping
- Ability to operate computer and software packages

Desirable:

- MR or HR Drivers licence
- Traffic Control Certificate
- Operation of small plant and equipment
- Experience in general labouring work
- To meet Council's WHS requirements and in accordance with Council's Covid-19 Safety Plans, this position has been identified via risk assessment to be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or provide evidence of an approved medical contraindication. If a medical contraindication certificate is provided, it will be assessed against a risk assessment and the decision of whether Council accepts the medical contraindication certificate, will be based on operational needs._
