**This is an incredible opportunity to lead an experienced team that is responsible for the safe and effective operation of our Sterilisation chambers and ancillary equipment. In this role you will be responsible for the management of major projects within the steriliser as well as providing daily leadership and support to Production Engineers and Steriliser Technicians.**

**This is a critical role to the business and will require on-call and out of hours work at times due to the nature of the work involved.**

**Responsibilities**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Liaise with the Site Engineering Manager to set priorities and provide regular feedback on progress for projects and the sterilizer operations.
- Manage the operational, validation, calibration and maintenance functions of the sterilization area.
- Work with WH&S department to ensure safe procedures are used for the operation of the sterilizer and project management.
- Liaise with functional departments to ensure the operation of sterilization services meets production goals.
- Implement and utilize data measurement to drive and evaluate process improvements.
- Setting of team priorities and allocation of resources.
- Promote the capabilities of the projects and sterilizing teams through timely delivery of projects and the efficient and reliable operation of sterilizing services.

Qualifications:
**Key Requirements**:

- Knowledge and experience in the medical device industry essential.
- Professional Engneering/Science qualifications essential.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience essential.
- An understanding of sterilisation operations/process is desirable.
- Demonstrated Project management experience essential.
- Experience with hazardous environments (preferably with ethylene oxide or similar) essential.
- Significant maintenance experience essential.
- Process / Production engineering experience essential
- Ability to work in an on-call capacity that may involve some out of hours work in evenings and/or weekends.
- Intermediate statistical data analysis skills and experience essential
- High level of technical aptitude with the ability to analyse technical problems is essential.
- Has a commitment to safety at all times and looks after the safety of others.
