Cabinet Vision Operator

Sherwood is one of Melbourne’s leaders in the Commercial Joinery industry collaborating with Tier 1 and 2 builders, Architects, Interior Designers and global suppliers.
We manufacture and install high quality joinery for apartments, health care, education & research, office fitouts and hotels.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Cabinet Vision Operator to join our busy team.

**Job Duties**:

- Review architectural plans and prepare detailed shop drawings using various software like AutoCAD, Cabinet Vision, and Sketchup.
- Accurately measure sites directly or liaise with project teams to gather data.
- Translate designs into CNC router instructions and oversee nesting processes.
- Produce and distribute production documents, including reports, material lists, and labels.
- Collaborate with team members to clarify drawing details and address queries.
- Calculate production costs for architectural fixtures and provide customer quotes.
- Liaise with architects or customers to revise and optimise shop drawings.
- Recommend alternative approaches or materials to enhance quality and reduce costs.
- Maintain organized project data, support Project Managers, and update internal MRP and management systems.

**Required Qualifications & Skills**:

- Strong Cabinet Vision, or similar program skills.
- Strong Joinery or Cabinet Making skills

Strong understanding of joinery standards and joinery construction methods
- Strong time management skills.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

**Salary**: $24.43 - $60.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

- RESERVOIR, VIC 3073: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
