The Rail Management Centre & Operations (RMC&O) roster department is comprised of a diverse team of dynamic and talented professionals who play a pivotal role in ensuring Queensland Rail achieves optimal efficiency and business continuity by planning and implementing short
- and long-term rostering requirements of business units within the RMC.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
Day to day responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

- Balancing business priorities whilst planning, preparing, and implementing cost effective rosters on time and within business guidelines.
- Allocation of leave, requested shift changes and planning for unavailability or resources.
- Identify, design, and implement actions to achieve continual performance improvement.
- Develop and deliver regular, and adhoc RMC roster reporting.
- Assist and support the RMC&O roster colleagues as required.

**ABOUT YOU**:
We are looking for a motivated individual to work within the Rail Management Centre & Operations (RMC&O) Roster team based at the Rail Management Centre (RMC), Bowen Hills.
- Extensive knowledge and ability to quickly acquire knowledge of, the standards, policies, specifications, business instructions and Enterprise/Workplace Agreements which relate to the rostering and management of the RMC&O resources.
- High level of planning, organisation, and problem-solving skills necessary to manage competing priorities within an operationally focussed, dynamic business environment.
- High level of conflict management, consultation, and negotiation skills to effectively allocate human resources and achieve operational objectives while meeting the needs of the business.
- High level of skill in the use of Microsoft suite, in particular Excel.
- Substantial analytical and research skills to review and improve work practices and reporting.
