**Assembly Technician - Local/DIDO**

**Our valued client is an industry leader in road transport equipment design and manufacture. They engineer and supply a complete range of commercial trailers: road trains, tippers and refrigerated trailers.**
They require for immediate start Vehicle Fitters / Assembly Technicians experienced or have sound mechanical fitting knowledge/background with works relating to the manufacture and assembly of new trailers and other equipment.

**Key responsibilities for the role include**:

- Assembling, servicing and repairing road transport equipment
- Good sound knowledge trailer electrical and lighting systems
- Follow systems and procedures & fill out checklists and paperwork

**Required**:

- Minimum 2 Years’ experience required
- Experience in Heavy Duty Road Transport manufacturing (trucks and trailers)
- HR License (Highly regarded but not essential)
- Have a good knowledge and recognition of heavy duty vehicles
- Forklift license
- Good sound knowledge of hydraulics and PTO systems used in tippers
- Good sound knowledge of AIR braking systems, as well as ABS/EBS
- Experience in Heavy Duty Road Transport manufacturing (trucks and trailers)
- Experience of working with overhead cranes and hold Dogging License
