**The Company**

Our client is a vertically integrated retail network of different branded stores, wholesale distribution and multiple eCommerce sites. They are part of a larger management group which encourages the independent brand identity of each business.

**Position Description**

Reporting to the General Manager of Product & Merchandise, the Merchandise Planner will support the product & supply chain strategy across both retail and wholesale. You’ll assist in assorting new collections, forecasting and analysing stock turn in order to maximise profitability.

This role is ideal for an Assistant or Junior-level Merchandise Planner who is ready to take the next step up in their career at a dynamic organisation.

**Duties and Key Responsibilities**:

- Assortment planning and forecasting to ensure adequate stock levels in order to meet planned sales and gross margin targets for both retail and wholesale channels
- Develop and implement merchandising plans across all stores based on demographics, layout and visual merchandising capabilities; always ensure that the right product is in the right place at the right time
- Facilitate OTB, ensuring all stock allocations and replenishments are hitting the required fulfillment rate
- Produce and analyse necessary reporting on sales performance, product life cycle, inventory, margin and turn targets
- Assist with R&D, product development and ranging for both licensed and private label product assortments
- Create product training materials and internal communications for product launches and GTM plans
- Engage and liaise with store teams on special purchase orders, stock checks, transfers, credits and take feedback to optimise future product assortments by location
- SKU set up and master data catalogue maintenance to ensure that product and pricing details are accurate.
- Communicate with suppliers and audit invoices for correct order costs

**Skills and Experience**:

- 3+ years of experience in a similar role within a planning role in a retail or supply chain environment
- University degree in business or related field
- Ability to think analytically as well as creatively
- A passion for retail and product and an enthusiasm for trends
- Great project management and organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and previous exposure to planning and merchandising tools; ability to learn new software programs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
