The position covers administration of operations and activities involving the import & export of products. This requires focus on reducing costs connected with the import/export function and contributes to the achievement of key KPIs relating to short shipments of customer orders (Aust & NZ) to ensure McCain continues to win with customers and consumers.
This role can be based in either Melbourne or Ballarat.
**About the role**
- Accurately execute all Export/Import administrative operations on a daily basis, undertake appropriate supply chain protocols and escalate any issues for resolution
- Effectively manage and reduce costs through the timely turn around of import containers from the time of customs release to the empty return back to the container park
- Maintain confident communication channels with our customer base, distribution team, planning and sales teams with an emphasis on timely product availability and supply
- Efficiently respond to internal and external customer enquiries as they relate to supply management of imported/exported products
- Actively pursue the reduction of short shipments, liaise with suppliers/internal and external customers to establish issues and communicate outcomes
- Liaise with Coldstore and Quality Control staff to minimize the turnaround time of out of stock products - play an active role in the prediction of containerised product issues to ensure that the Distribution Department is proactive in communicating these issues to the relevant stakeholders
**About you**
- Experience in a similar role within the Frozen Food or FMCG Industry
- Knowledge and experience in import/Export container handling
- Experience in SAP Environment highly desired
- Planning and organisational skills with the ability to efficiently schedule own time and activities to meet time frames
- Understand, and follow company standards of work
- Past use of the 2IC software
- Must have previous pallet control experience
- Knowledge on the Chain of Responsibility legislation & SOLAS
- Drivers licence
