**We are looking for a qualified and experienced Early Years professional to lead the Early Years Planning and Partnerships team.**

**What you’ll be working on**
- Early Years Planning and Partnerships is responsible for leading, supporting, mentoring, and resourcing Early Childhood Education and Care Services to provide funded kindergarten and early years programs to children and families in the municipality.
- Liaising with the State Government to advocate for funding and infrastructure needed to meet the growing needs of families accessing high quality Early Childhood Education and Care in Hobsons Bay.
- Supervises the Early Years Planning and Partnerships Project Officer and Kindergarten Central Registration Scheme (CRS) team.
- The Team Leader Early Years Planning and Partnerships is a senior position within the Early Years team, the Community Life department and is encouraged to participate at an organisational level.

**What you need to succeed**
- Tertiary qualified in an appropriate field and experienced in leadership role/s in the youth (or a similar) sector
- Able to engage and build purposeful relationships with stakeholders - Early Years providers, including coordinating a formal Kindergarten Consultative Network
- A strong leader of people and have a well-developed approach to lead, develop and motivate staff and
- Work flexibly, lead with a hands-on approach, and empower a team of professionals to establish an aligned workplan and build astrong team dynamic based around shared values and support
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the team
- Advocate for Early Years provision and infrastructure within Hobsons Bay
- Communicate effectively to a diverse range of audiences through strong written, digital and verbal skills
