**About the role**:
Our growing and busy site in Thomastown is seeking tenacious and diverse individuals to join our successful team for a hybrid Operator and Customer Service Officer role

If you are an individual who can work at our production and distribution facility and frontline our business, this might just be for you. As this is a hybrid role, your day will be of variety - no day is the same. You will be given the opportunity to experience various departments of the business. Work closely with our supportive and close-knit team that will help you grow and develop your skills in the industry.

Key responsibilities:

- Assist customers and engage in over the phone and in-person customer interaction
- Upsell, provide quotes, and process purchase orders
- Maintain effective communication and teamwork across different teams
- Operate steel manufacturing machinery to produce high-quality products
- Operate gantry crane to perform loading and unloading activities
- Perform general administrative work and assisting in ad hoc activities - warehousing and freight
- Championing safety procedures to the highest standard

**About your experience**:
You are someone who has:

- Previous experience in either a Customer Service role and/or Operator role in the manufacturing, warehouse, or construction industry
- Will to learn and eagerness to familiarise yourself in the business processes and operations
- Strong ability to work collaboratively and autonomously
- Good verbal, written communications skills
- Sound computer skills
- Flexibility and adaptive mindset to cope in a fast-paced and exciting environment
- Previous experience with overhead or gantry crane is desirable
- Safety focused and is not afraid to initiate improvement
