About the Role
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Head of Fundraising and Community Engagement. This pivotal role holds strategic importance within the organisation, as the focus on the Fundraising and Community Engagement function is identified for key growth.
Collaborating with the fundraising team, this role covers a spectrum of fundraising avenues, including individual donors, bequests, solicited appeals, churches, community groups, sponsorships, trusts, and foundations.
**Key Duties**:
Retaining and engaging current donors through a calendar of planned activities
New donor acquisition activities, including the development of a bequest program
Rebuilding Baptcare’s relationships with key philanthropic funders
Identifying, co-ordinating and preparing grant submissions and acquittals for agreed programs
Retaining and engaging corporate supporters and sponsors and faith organisations
Identifying and acquiring new corporate supporters and sponsors and faith organisations
Reviewing and relaunching the Employee Giving Program
Providing advice on relevant legislation, regulations, awards, industrial agreements, policies and procedures when needed
About You
You are passionate about continuing to grow your career in the Sales and Marketing space. You are a true business partner that instils trust in your stakeholders by demonstrating integrity and accountability.
Working as part of a close-knit team, you collaborate with and support others, demonstrating respect in your day-to-day actions.
**You will ideally bring the following**:
Relevant tertiary degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business
**Expertise in one or more of the following areas**: strategy, social innovation, fundraising, product or program development, community development, or translatable experience.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in building and managing a Fundraising function and team
Highly effective interpersonal and stakeholder management skills that achieves successful business outcomes within complex multi-level environments.
Demonstrated capability in sales, fundraising, negotiation, and revenue generation.
Excellent written communication and presentation skills, demonstrating the ability to speak and engage with potential donor groups e.g., Church Communities.
Familiarity with the requirements of Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission with regard to reporting transparency requirements and impending reforms highly desirable.
