Orchard Supervisor

Montague is a proud and successful Australian family-owned business set on picturesque orchards across the east coast of Australia. We currently have a casual position for an Orchard Supervisor to assist with producing high-quality fruit in an efficient manner aligned with company objectives.

Key responsibilities are, but not limited to:

- Supervision of casual labour
- Mowing
- Mulching
- Spraying
- Weed spraying
- Fertiliser spreading
- Pruning
- Harvest activities
- Irrigation repair and maintenance activities
- General farm repairs and maintenance

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following attributes:

- Tractor and machinery operating experience
- Previous farm hand experience essential
- A current drivers licence with reliable transport
- Must be physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work autonomously/independently with limited supervision at times
- Must have a proactive approach to safety
- A strong work ethic
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Being a team player is critical
- Great attention to detail

The following will be highly regarded:

- Forklift licence
- Chem certificate
- First aid certificate
- Chain saw training/experience

Hours may vary but they are early morning starts with the possibility of some Saturdays if required.
