Hi, I am 14-year-old and reside in the Gold Coast region. I am supported by **Youth Workers** at all times who help me with my daily living and transportation to appointments.
I am looking for a committed **Youth Worker** to join my team and help make a positive difference in my life. Due to the severity of my complex needs, you must have a high level of resilience, be patient and understanding. Most of all, I need someone who can assist with my aggressive behaviours, emotional regulation and meeting my complex attachment needs.
About me: I am independent and full of energy. I enjoy keeping busy and trying new things, however I am sometimes angry, frustrated, demanding and challenging. Sometimes I get angry and abscond, so I will need your help to keep me safe.
Comprehensive on the job training is provided therefore you must be willing to learn how to provide the specific care that I need. In return, you will be a valued member of a fulfilling team within a supportive company. I look forward to having you on my Team

These roles are situated in the Gold Coast regions supporting young clients with highly complex behaviours and/or care needs.
As a Youth Worker, you will provide guidance, support encouragement and developing life skills, ultimately setting our young people to become more independent and achieve a positive outcome. You will assist with activities of daily living and work in line with their plan to achieve their goals.
**About You**
You are passionate and have experience working with young people in a residential setting, with complex and challenging behaviours combined with ASD, ADHD and have the ability to de-escalate situations where required.
You have an understanding of Child Safety and the role Youth Workers play in support of the young person's plan in line with Child Safety legislation.
You have experience in performing a wide range of supports to young people and are able to exercise limited judgment and initiative within established policies and procedures in resolving complex behavioural and situations.
- Willing to work a variety of shifts including sleepovers.
- Good computer skills in order to use online systems.
- Capacity to meet physical requirements of the job.
- Current drivers license and own reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
- Current QLD Blue and NDIS worker screen
- Current First aid and CPR Certificates
- Certificate IV in Youth Work or related qualifications (or the willingness to commence qualification in your first 12 months of employment.
- TCI qualification desirable
