**Position Summary**:
A vacancy exists in the above unit for a highly motivated person with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team. Our progressive and innovative team offers development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high quality patient centred care. The successful applicant will be expected to be able to manage and supervise our team of Wardspersons across the Darlinghurst Campus.

The Wardspersons Supervisor is responsible for this oversight and the provision of quality service which includes the cleanliness and maintenance of the ward physical environment and equipment.

The vacancy is open to Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens who hold a valid New Zealand passport, Australian permanent residents and those non-residents deemed by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship to be eligible to work in Australia only.

**Selection Criteria**
- Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia
- Experience in day-to-day operations of patient support services in a large complex organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team, including well developed people management skills and communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal
- Well-developed computer skills with demonstrated experience and proficiency in working with all MS Office suites.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and work as part of a team, including the ability to interact as appropriate with relevant stakeholders to achieve common goals.
- Demonstrated understanding of Work Health and Safety principles.
- Demonstrated initiative, self-reliance and flexibility.
- Current CPR accreditation or willing to obtain. Possession of, or willingness to obtain a _Certificate III in Basic Health Care._
