Accounts Receivable Clerk

**Position purpose**:
To perform the daily activities for weekly and monthly accounts receivable processing and associated tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
**Position’s responsibilities**:
- Create customer invoices in Xero from job packets and scan documents.
- Periodic review of dispatches to ensure all invoices have been advanced after liaising with management.
- Send invoices and monthly statements.
- Prioritise tasks to ensure invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Process receipts of customer payment and follow up to ensure timely receipt of outstanding payments.
- Process worker’s compensation claims or other insurance claims as required (job shared role).
- Receive payments using square terminal and reconcile this bank account (proficiency not essential as on-job training can be provided)
- Basic reception duties: answering phones, noting messages, and directing visitors.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Proficiency in Xero or similar program.
- Previous experience in similar accounts receivable role and/or
- Bookkeeping.
- Cert III or IV in Accounting from TAFE (preferred).
**Level of Expertise**:
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- Ability to prioritise and manage own time.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer skills with proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Exposure to inventory systems and how they function (proficiency not essential as on-job training can be provided)

**What We Offer You**:
- 10 - 15 hours per week casual employment. Currently the role takes 10 - 15 hours but may progress to permanent part time for the right person willing to undertake more responsibility.

**Job Type**: Part-time
**Salary**: $32.00 - $36.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 - 15 per week

- Bennetts Green, NSW 2290: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
**Experience**:
- Accounts receivable: 1 year (preferred)
