Small General Practice located in Pakenham is seeking a casual medical receptionist / admin assistant, with the possibility to move to permanent part-time in the new year.

Opening and closing times are 8am-6pm Monday and 8am-5pm Tuesday to Friday, though there is room for flexibility in the hours and hourly rate will depend on experience.

Our team has 4 administration staff and 4 nurses and contributing to a positive team environment is a high priority for any applicant.

Healthcare experience not essential, and full training to be provided

**Duties**:

- Meet and greet patients on arrival
- Process EFTPOS payments and patient claims to Medicare
- Making bookings and follow up appointments
- Answering calls from patients and other doctors
- Create and maintain patient records
- Sending / faxing letters and correspondence
- Ensuring results / correspondence is received
- Any additional administration support tasks that may be required

**About You**:

- Receptionist experience preferred (but not essential)
- Reliability, honesty and punctuality.
- Ability to multitask.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Outstanding time management.
- Ability to Manage Conflicting Priorities.
- Experience with Best Practice (preferred but not essential)

We particularly value people who are reliable, with excellent communication, professional manner, caring attitude and who works well in a team.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $21.38 - $31.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 14 per week
