Warehouse/stores Person

Well establish import and distributor of hydraulic tools and electrical equipment, with operations Australian wide.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Store Person to join small but very busy team located at Carlton.

**Responsibilities & Duties**:

- Support daily warehouse functions
- Dispatching and receiving of goods
- Ensuring that all goods received are in the correct locations and are receipted/entered into the system on time
- Check for any damages and discrepancies between goods received and invoiced
- Ensuring correct labelling of goods received with location for storage
- Interact daily with transport drivers regarding pick up schedules, shipping, storage of equipment and the loading/unloading of goods.
- Organise, verify, pack and weigh orders for shipping
- Assist with goods received and flow into stock and meet sales needs
- Assist to maintain the inventory control in our system
- Customer pickups and deliveries
- Stock Management
- Manage stock return process
- Forklift - Loading and unloading
- Ability to lift 25 kgs and occasionally more
- Other general duties as required

**The successful applicant will need to possess the following skills and experience**:

- ** Must have a current Forklift licence**:

- ** Must have a current Australian Drivers Licence**:

- Positive can-do attitude
- At least 2 years' experience in a similar role. Preferably experience in warehouse environment, in generating consignment notes with transport companies
- Demonstrability ability with practical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Works to minimise errors and maintains high standards of quality
- Works cooperatively with others to achieve team's objective
- Demonstrates flexibility in approach to work and workloads
- Understanding and making sure of implementing safe working practices
- Strong customer service skills
- Well-developed communication, literacy, and organisational skills
- Attention to detail is essential to this job
- Possess computer skills

Company closes between XMAS and New Year.

**Hours**: 8.00 am - 4.00 pm Monday to Friday

**Salary**: $62K + Super

Must have the right to work permanently in Australia.
