About the business unit
System Governance Unit (SG) is a unit within Governance and Integrity Policy (GIP), Integrity, Legal and Law Reform (ILLR) of the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS).
**There are three teams in System Governance**:
- Governance Strategy, Review and Appointments
- which is responsible for strategic reviews of key justice system entities, management of funding through the Appeal Costs Board, providing support to the Judicial Entitlements Panel, and managing the high priority appointment of judicial officers and key board appointments within the Attorney-General's portfolio
- Legal Assistance: which drives the funding and reporting of legal assistance services for the community legal sector at both Commonwealth and State level.
- Honorary Justice Services Support - which provides policy, day-to-day management and operational oversight of Victoria's Honorary Justices.
About the role
The Manager role has oversight of significant grants and funding arrangements, and associated reporting obligations, which require strategic and operational level planning and implementation.
The role is directly responsible for managing staff development and performance, team resources and budgets, executive reporting, ongoing improvement and effective risk management systems and processes.

About you
**To be successful in this role, you will have**:
- Experience working at a senior level supporting ministerial and departmental executive functions and Parliamentary and departmental processes
- Experience of establishing and managing funding arrangements and associated complex reporting requirements
- Proven ability to manage strategic projects

This includes evidence of all doses of a COVID-19 vaccine required by the department (from time to time).
**Acceptable evidence includes**:
1. COVID-19 digital certificate or ATAGI exemption certificate (available via your myGov account)
2. Your immunisation history statement (available via your myGov account)
Other documentation outside the above will not be accepted as evidence of having received your COVID-19 vaccine doses.
