**About the Suburban Rail Loop Authority (SRLA)**
The Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) is a transformative, city-shaping infrastructure project that will revolutionise Victoria's public transport system. Connecting Melbourne's suburbs via 90 km of new rail lines, it will enhance mobility, drive investment, and create vibrant precincts. The SRL project spans decades and will reshape the way Victorians live, work, and connect.
As a part of this ambitious project, the Suburban Rail Loop Authority (SRLA) plays a key role in the planning, design, delivery, and management of this world-class public transport system. We are looking for talented professionals to join us in delivering this legacy project.
**The Opportunity**
We are seeking a Business Services Program Officer (VPS4) to join the SRLA team. This role is pivotal in establishing and enhancing the Business Services function within SRLA. You will play a key part in developing processes, policies, and systems to support the day-to-day operations and long-term success of SRLA. If you're a motivated self-starter with strong communication and program management skills, this is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a project that will impact Melbourne for generations to come.
**Your Key Responsibilities**
- As a Business Services Program Officer, your key duties will include:
- Program Development: Develop and implement policies, procedures, and systems to establish the Business Services function.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of services.
- Fleet Management: Oversee fleet management requirements and ensure vehicles are safe, efficient, and cost-effective.
- Project & Operational Management: Balance project-based tasks with daily operational duties including office support and accommodation/facilities management.
- Continuous Improvement: Review existing processes and recommend improvements to drive efficiency.
- Communication & Support: Deliver exceptional customer service through clear, professional communication, ensuring stakeholder needs are met.
**Key Selection Criteria**
- To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- Proven experience in developing and executing Business Services policies and processes within a project-driven environment.
- Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions in a complex setting.
- The ability to manage competing priorities effectively, delivering both daily and project-based requirements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.A commitment to continuous improvement, with a focus on driving operational efficiencies.
**Desirable**:
- A relevant tertiary qualification is preferred but not essential.
- Government/finance experience or fleet management is highly desired
