The Role**:Compounding Technician **- Pharmaceutical

A great opportunity has become available for a Compounding Technician to join our team in Canning Vale, WA in a** 6 month Fixed Term, Full-time** position, working the hours between 07:00 am - 19:00 pm Monday to Friday with flexibility to perform overtime as required. The main purpose of these roles is to support the aseptic production process manufacturing Chemotherapy, Antibiotics and Nutritional products for hospitals throughout Australia.

**Upon completion of the facility validations, there may be an opportunity for continuation at Baxter in the capacity of Compounding Technician or Compounding Assistant/Process Worker.**

Initially, we’re looking for a great team player with a positive attitude, flexibility, and adaptability to join our team to validate the facility. Duties and Responsibilities:
Compounding Technician:

- Picking and preparing raw materials
- Aseptically compounding (mixing) sterile solutions
- Packing of finished units for each order including final inspection of products
- Labelling and dispatching of prepared products
- Ensuring documentation is completed in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
- Adhering to Baxter’s Standard Operating Procedures
- Contribute to Baxter’s full inclusion and diversity culture
- Other duties as required

Compounding Assistant/Process Worker:

- Picking and packing orders
- Labelling, inspection and sealing of compounded products
- Maintaining and housekeeping of work area consumables
- Other duties as required
- All required training, Uniforms/PPE provided

Essential skills & qualifications
- Enjoy work that requires a high attention to detail
- Overtime will be required
- Be comfortable working within a cleanroom environment for most of your working day
- Be highly productive
- Demonstrate a good understanding of basic mathematics
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Be flexible across shifts within the operating hours of 7am and 7pm
- Experience in pharmacy, manufacturing or warehousing would be an advantage
- Tasks involve manual repetitive handling and dexterity
- Previous manual compounding experience highly regarded
