**About this part of our organisation**:
Our Zinc Assets in Australia include multiple & geographically dispersed operations, including underground and open pit mines, processing plants and port facilities. Additionally, we have operations across Asia, both North and South American continents and Europe. Brisbane is home to our corporate office which is where this role is based.

**About your potential new position**:
We are currently seeking an experienced Geologist - Resource to join our team. Reporting to the Principal Geologist, this role is an opportunity for an experienced Geologist to work on several resource models within our corporate office.

Given the nature of the scope of work we are seeking people who have the following skills, experience and attributes.
- demonstrated experience in all facets of resource estimation such as database QAQC, geological interpretation and modelling and resource estimation.
- Familiarity with advanced geostatistics techniques.
- Python scripting is highly regarded,
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
- Ability to carry out 3D geological modelling for the purpose of domaining geology, alteration, structure and mineralisation.
- Proficient in the use of software packages for geological modelling, geostatistical analysis and block model estimation (such as Leapfrog, Datamine, Isatis).
- knowledge of statistical and geostatistical analysis.
- Experience in database management, sampling protocols, QAQC, grade control, and reconciliation.
- Willingness to communicate and troubleshoot with other technical disciplines.

You will also have:

- A university degree in Geology, with around three or more years of experience in mine geology and mineral resource estimation with a preference for hardrock deposits.
- Practical experience at a mine site will be considered an asset (underground and/or open pit).
- Experience in reconciliation procedures and grade control.
- Post graduate education in geostatistics highly regarded.
- Certification as a Professional Geologist registered with a recognised professional association.
- High cultural intelligence and the ability to work effectively with professionals from all backgrounds.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
