**Full-time 12 month Fixed Term Contract**

**We are seeking an experienced Research Officer who will support and assist in the conduct of trails.**

The School of Animal and Veterinary Sciences provides world-class, outcome-based education and training of animal and veterinary scientists in a research environment. Based at the Roseworthy Campus, 60km north of the Adelaide CBD and minutes from Gawler, the school is situated on a 1600 ha property that includes a working farm, full service Veterinary Health Centre teaching clinics, and a range of general purpose and specialist teaching and research facilities.

The Research Officer will be responsible for providing assistance in the collection and measurement of research data and providing written progress reports on the project. The Research Officer will work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain equipment and monitoring the wellbeing of livestock animals to enable the project to be successfully delivered on time.

**To be successful you will need**:

- Proven experience in conducting trials and monitoring livestock animals.
- Demonstrated experience with research protocols, sample collection and data analysis.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills particularly Excel, Word, with good written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in accurate data entry, reporting on and interpreting data.
- Ability to be both self-motived, work independently and work in a team.
- Demonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectations

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of a Certificate IV with relevant work experience; or
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
