Our client is a progressive and innovative Catholic School catering to nearly 2000 students in Melbourne's North-Eastern suburbs (15 kms from CBD).

**The Role**

As a **Youth Worker**, you'll be greeted by a collaborative and dyanamic Student Wellbeing team and school community to promote and foster the achievement, participation, development, mental health and wellbeing of students, through the provision of social, emotional and practical support that facilitates continued engagement in learning activities. Being a person with a passion for student wellbeing and a strength in building rapport will make you highly successful in this role.

**Relevant qualifications and experience**:

- Holds relevant qualifications in community/youth services, education or similar discipline and maintains registration with AHPRA or is an accredited member of another relevant professional body e.g. the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Demonstrated experience, skills and knowledge with working with students with trauma histories and/or are 'at risk' of being disenfranchised from school (desired).
- Experience in effective case management and facilitation (desired).
- Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and skills.
- An understanding of trauma, mental health and social and emotional development
