**In this role you will**:

- Work collaboratively with the management team to support officers to embrace practice, optimise service delivery and to build staff capability.
- Embed the Practice Leadership Framework and encourage officers to prioritise the quality of their practice and commitment to continuous learning.
- Identify professional practice development needs and opportunities through trend analysis, observation, and consultation with key stakeholders.
- Work alongside the management team to assess and identify common issues and themes and engage with internal and external stakeholders to source and deliver relevant training and development opportunities for staff.
- Deliver tailored and evidence-based individual and group practice development sessions.
- Ensure staff alignment with the End to End Offender Management Framework, integrating theory and practice to support staff in effective engagement with individuals and providing guidance to complete assessment tools and other case management tools.
- Support staff in using motivational interviewing techniques, brief interventions, and activities to support incremental behavioural change of individuals managed in the community and custody.
- Provide a high standard of practice support, coaching, mentoring, role modelling, practice observations and constructive feedback to enhance staff professional skills.
- Experience in building and sustaining strong relationships with peers, team members, internal and external stakeholders through formal and informal practice support activities that focus on enhancing capability and continuous learning.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain professional networks and to seek out specialist advice to inform coaching and support activities.
- Facilitate professional reflective practice to promote professional conversation with the goal of creating opportunities for shared learning and best practice.
- Support staff with professional decision making and to build confidence in the use of discretion.
- Support and guide staff in managing complex cases and case formulation.
- Manage own professional development needs to ensure currency of own knowledge of best practice approaches to staff professional development and supervision.
- Maintain knowledge of Departmental reform and evidence-based practice and share this with staff and the management team as it relates to case management practices.
- Coordinate and support implementation of activities relating to on-going organisational renewal and reform work.
- Actively practice and promote excellence and lead staff capability across the Agency.
