We are currently hiring a Permanent Full Time employee to join the team on site to work on a current major infrastructure project that is occurring in Melbourne.
**We are currently recruiting for a Concrete Batcher, the primary role of the Batcher is to;**
- **To ensure the efficient batching and loading of concrete,**.
- This will require accurate batching of orders to specific mix designs
- You will need to use of the dedicated programs and systems
- **You will also be an active participant in the day to day operations of the site.**:
- **The site operates on a r**o**tating roster** - Monday and Friday day shift hours are 5:30am to 2:30pm or afternoon shift hours 1:30pm to 10:30pm and every second Saturday 5:30am to 1:00pm
If successful you will join the team on site and make a valuable contribution to the outputs from this custom-built concrete plant location in the Eastern Suburbs.
Other tasks involved are;
- Participate in safety initiatives including tool box talks and safety meetings and incident reporting
- Management of the day to day administration including stock control or raw materials and forecasting
- Operate the Front End Loader and other mobile plant on site and ensure that the machinery is secure and operated safely whilst on site.
- General Yard Housekeeping and maintenance.
**We're Looking For someone with**:
- Relevant batching and / or concrete industry experience or knowledge
- A current Front End Loader and or Forklift license will be highly regarded
- Sound computer literacy as you will be required to work with multiple systems for stock control, batching and safety reporting. Experience with CommandBatch will also be highly regarded
- Who is passionate about driving continuous improvement initiatives, to improve safety, efficiencies and reliability
- Who is flexible and willing to cover several responsibilities across the plant as required.
