**About the role**
TAFE NSW is looking for an individual with current industry experience and knowledge who will be responsible for teaching and assessing Maritime courses from Certificate 1 (General Purpose Hand) to Certificate IV (Master) on a temporary full-time basis at our Ultimo Campus.

You will be required to teach and assess a range of Maritime programs that involves cohorts of students from various backgrounds and cultures that have an interest in Maritime operations and wish to advance their qualifications to a higher level.

You must have the ability to adapt your teaching skills and knowledge from entry level programs to the higher level certificates within the same class and day

The role of the TAFE Teacher as a professional educator is to help, construct, guide and enhance the educative process. The teacher delivers educational programs and facilitates learning, enabling students to achieve their desired outcomes.

**About You**
To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the essential requirements:

- Certificate IV in Maritime Operations (Master Class IV) and Certificate II in Maritime Operations (Marine Engine Driver III or Above)
- Minimum of five years post-qualification experience in industry relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously
- Hold a Certificate IV TAE40116 or equivalent
- To be prepared to continue to develop their Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as their industry currency and trainer/assessor competence.
