SC1. Experience in the delivery of student wellbeing and support services in a school setting.

SC2. Demonstrated experience in developing effective relationships with local and state departments and community agencies and other service providers and a proven record for their provision in a school

SC3. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and to develop positive relationships with parents, students, management and staff.

SC4. A demonstrated capacity to plan, implement and evaluate intervention programs to support student wellbeing

SC5. Demonstrated ability to promote the safety and wellbeing of all students in line with the Child Safe Standards

**Role**:

- DUTIES OF THE ROLE
- Work collaboratively with the executive team on the provision of schoolwide student wellbeing and inclusion initiatives.
- Oversee the student wellbeing team.
- Oversee the Inclusion program.
- Support the College to manage personal and school wide mandatory reporting responsibilities, making reports to child protection, police, KESO and the (DET) incident support and operations center and development of documentation processes.
- Oversee the wellbeing and inclusion elements of the grade 6 to year 7 transition, attending primary schools providing support with risk identification and mitigation.
- Assisting the college to meet its partnering agreement obligations supporting students in out of home care.
- Providing consultation to sub schools regarding students with chronic absenteeism and school refusal. Key contact for Navigator.
- Provide specialist advice for DIP
- Oversee processes to reduce students engaging/reengaging in harmful behaviours.
- Oversee strengths based and trauma-informed behaviour support plans.
- Support the implementation of behaviour support plans, student support plans and safety plans.
- Oversee trauma informed care working party.
- Manage the implementation of the four critical actions regarding the child safe standards including oversight of the mandatory reporting process and support the effective documentation and storage of information.
- Oversee incident logs.
- Develop whole staff capacity to recognize and respond to matters of student safety and risk in line with duty of care.
- Oversee the management and response to referrals, the provision of generalist support and counselling, crisis management, risk assessment for suicide/self-harm, advocacy & case management.
- Oversee creation and implementation of schoolwide documentation processes in accordance with privacy law and DET requirements including incident logs and PROTECT documentation.
- Development and management of the Postvention response.
- Contribute to respectful relationships initiative.
- Oversee the implementation of the mental health fund
- Oversee implementation of student breakfast/lunch programs.
- Attend and contribute to SSGs, case management & Sub school meetings, assisting to identify students at risk or facing difficulties with mental health, resilience, behaviour, engagement and attendance and developing inventions and strategies.
- Liaise with Student Support Service Officers regarding assessments and support for students and their referral to the SOCS system.
- Oversee and support the college compliance of Family Violence Reforms (MARAM) and Child Link
- Child safe compliance, supporting the principal to ensure all policies and procedures and up to date
- Induction of new staff

**Responsibilities**:
RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful applicant will work as part of the College Executive Team with specific oversight in the areas of student wellbeing, mental health and inclusion. Collaborating with the executive team on child safety, whole school planning, accountability for processes and the college strategic plan and AIP.
