**Job Description**:
An excellent opportunity has become available for a highly motivated and passionate ICT Infrastructure Specialist to join the Defence National Regional Delivery Team at Telstra.

The opportunity

This is a permanent full-time hybrid position. You will be required to work from our office at Deakin, Canberra when required.

As an Operations Service Specialist your enthusiasm for interrogating information and data to solve problems will shine through. You will support the restoration of Critical and High incidents within the IT Application and Application Infrastructure environments to remove impact and associated risk of impact within service level agreements.

Your key responsibilities and major tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Act as an ICT infrastructure SME (Subject Matter Expert) and escalation point for all aspects of the Terrestrial Communications infrastructure environment, within the specific region of responsibility.- Provide quality advice and direction to stakeholders and field work force, based on knowledge and experience within the Terrestrial Communications environment.- Support all components of ICT infrastructure based on operational requirements.- Provide backfilling for other regional resources within Telstra- Participate in a program to ensure the successful integration of new products, services and or processes to the group.- Perform or participate in complex, specialised investigations to determine/confirm system and design standards, performance parameters for the networks, infrastructure, products and services supplied and operated by Telstra.- Liaising with and managing relevant internal and external key stakeholders.- Managing external contractors on site including physical/documentation quality assurance- General reporting on operations and compliance.- Good knowledge of WH&S and safety standards around facilities work.- Work in accordance with Telstra policies, processes and procedures.- Work in accordance with the Telstra Code of Conduct and Guidelines for expected behaviour.- Manage own work performance and work safely.- Develop own capability for current and future roles.- Accept coaching and mentoring.- Cooperate with others to achieve the business outcomes.- Understand that Customer Advocacy is important and contribute to the overall Telstra performance where possible.- Contribute to the effectiveness of the team by promoting and living the Telstra Values.- Initial project engagement.- Engage with Defence stakeholders to understand opportunities and advise on TC requirements.- Formulate the details of the opportunities with Defence and log the request back into Telstra sales.- Attend the project triage meeting and provide Telstra stakeholders the background and the requirements of the opportunities.- TC Condition Assessments- Update and maintain condition assessment records tool.- Formulate the priority of tasks in regions.- Collate the condition assessment data, report on findings and provide analyses.- Understand project requirements within the region and prioritise outcomes. Engagement and relationship management with the facilities.- Provide assistance to the project manager on handover of tasks and escalate any issues or problems that may impact on the project.- Acceptance Into Service in terms of e2e portfolio mgmt. and project closure- Coordinate and manage internal Telstra project teams to perform interim and completion AIS checks for Telstra projects.- Work with the Telstra project teams to perform handover AIS from other agencies that are performing hand over the network and facilities component to TC.- Report back via the project manager and relevant teams of AIS status and issues.

Reporting & Records Management- Weekly and monthly reporting requirements focussed on condition assessments, portfolio management, and Risk Management and project opportunities.- Management & ongoing maintenance of Site Profile documents and associated data- Service management regional performance

General Administration- Weekly electronic time sheeting to track efficiency and identify resourcing shortfalls to be input on time.- Key Internal and external stakeholder meetings- My Future success plan management to track and identify issues and achievements.- Input and develop CSI’S (Customer Service Improvement’s)- Input and develop risk management processes and outcomes.- Must have and maintain an NV1 clearance.- Travel around the regional area will be required.
