Brunel are currently seeking Derrickhands to work on various rigs throughout Australia. These are FIFO roles based out of Australia only on a 2 on 2 off roster.

This is an exciting opportunity to enter the oil and gas drilling industry with a major international company

**About this role**

The Derrickhand assist the Driller by maintaining all equipment related to the circulating system, as well as guiding the pipe while positioned in the derrick.

They Operate, monitor and maintains all drilling fluid systems and equipment associate in drilling oil and gas wells.

Directing and coordinating all work activities associated will drilling fluid systems and equipment.

**Experience**
- Must be comfortable with heights
- Good verbal communication skills
- Good working knowledge of the Company’s specialized rig equipment
- Good organizational skills & training skills
- Able to lead & delegate tasks to floor hands as required by Rig Manager &Driller
- Physical strength and stamina
- The ability to work long hours and in extreme conditions
- Able to follow directions and company policies
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Open, Manual Driver’s License
- The Company primarily promotes experienced Motorhand to this position
- New Hires will preferably possess current experience as a Derrickhand on a Land Rig

**About you**
- IWCF Level 2
- Certificate III in Drilling Oil/Gas (onshore)
- Drilling and Completions General Induction(DCGI) or Industry Safety Induction (ISI)
- Undertake First Response to Fire
- Operate Breathing Apparatus
- Enter and Work in Confined Spaces
- Gas Test Atmospheres
- Working at Heights
- Gotcha Kit
- Operate vehicles in the field-4WD
- Wellsite Permit to Work-Holder
- Current Australian work rights
