**The role**

We are looking for an experienced and reliable forklift operator to step into the role of Yard Supervisor at our Newcastle site.

With the drive to learn the operations of our business and progress your career within the company, a key element to this position is working together as an integral member of the yard team.

This full time permanent role will require flexibility to work varying start times to cover the current yard operational hours of 7am - 7pm with shifts of between 8-10 hours

**Responsibilities**
- Ensure safety, health and environment standards are maintained
- Follow correct work procedures at all times
- Operation of forklifts for the movement of goods to/from the work area
- Quality Assurance and packaging of outgoing goods
- Ensure yard and inventory is maintained in a neat and orderly fashion
- Following established procedures for documenting and/or reporting work performed, hazards, incidents
- General labouring duties
- Basic maintenance of forklifts, plant and equipment in the work area

**What you will need to succeed**
- Self motivation and a willingness to learn
- Ability to communicate confidently with various staff
- Ensure safety, health and environment standards are maintained
- Load and unload trucks safely and accurately
- Move palletised masonry products within the factory and yard
- Complete basic documentation associated with the dispatch of orders
- Make up orders using appropriate manual handling techniques
- Undertake general housekeeping and cleaning
