**The Role - Philanthropy Adviser / Major Gifts Manager**
You will join a small but passionate team who are almost two years into a growth strategy focusing on strengthening philanthropic and major donor relationships and income.

As Philanthropy Adviser, you will
**steward and grow relationships** with major philanthropic supporters and partners from end to end (donations of $15,000 +), drive strategic value, and secure both financial and non-financial support for Red Cross' work. You will have the opportunity to try new thinking, imagination, and creative flair in developing effective strategies and managing major gifts and philanthropy.

The role of Philanthropy Adviser will sit within their Partnerships team, which leads all things
**fundraising relationships**. You will work closely with program teams, marketing and communications, fundraising, and customer experience team, to ensure
**best practice communications and collaboration.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage & develop a portfolio of existing relationships with major philanthropic supporters & partners
- Identify, initiate & cultivate new relationships including Major Donors, Private Ancillary Funds, Trusts & Foundations & others
- Use research, insights & targeted networking to ensure an ongoing prospect pipeline
- Develop (or support with) high-quality pitches & funding proposals & grants/tenders
- Monitor & coordinate timely receipting, banking & contract approval for all funding secured
- Ensure legal compliance to fundraising legislation within programs.

- High-level communicator, with the ability to initiate, convert & steward individual relationships, foundations & potential partner cultivation and research & special events
- Confident utilising Customer Relationship Management databases
- Work effectively under pressure to achieve individual and wider team financial targets
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, reliable & solution focussed
