**About the Agency**
The Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing (ORSR) is the lead agency for the Government's policy on sport and active recreation. ORSR is responsible for State Government policy and legislation as it relates to the sector, its key programs, sport and recreation infrastructure and funding programs. The ORSR supports sport and recreation organisations, Councils, and the community through the development of policy, programs and resources, the provision of funding, recreation and sport planning, infrastructure development, elite sport pathways and programs, and the promotion of physical activity.
**About the Division - South Australian Sports Institute**
The South Australian Sports Institute (SASI) is the High Performance Sports hub in South Australia. Its purpose is empowering people to achieve their sporting dreams and inspiring South Australians. SASI does this by:
- Providing the highest quality daily training environment, including embracing leading-edge technologies to optimise the performance of its people, programs, projects and partners.
- Optimising national representation and medal success on the world stage for South Australian-based athletes and teams.
- Pursuing excellence in practice, services, and culture.
- Developing sustainable talent pathways for athletes and coaches.
- Enhancing the community's engagement with SASI.
**Role Highlights**
- Key role working closely with a range of sports and athletes
- Identify and develop the next generation of Olympians and Paralympians
- Based at SASI’s new state-of-the-art high performance sport facility at Mile End

**Special Conditions**
- The Incumbent will be required to participate in the Agency's Performance Management Program.
- The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- Some work outside of normal hours will be required.
- Some interstate travel involving overnight absences will be required.
- This role requires a working with children check.
- A current SA driver's licence and willingness to drive is essential
**Essential Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise, Sports, or Movement Science
- ESSA Accredited Sport Scientist (ASpS) Level 1
- Sport Integrity Australia anti-doping education (or willing to complete)
- Current First Aid and CPR (or willing to complete)

**Salary Range**
$68,478 - $83,594 p.a.
