**Role Description/Criteria**

Applications are sought for the position of College Accompanist, Repetiteur (approximately 2 days with potential to grow)

The Accompanist/ Piano teacher is responsible for Accompanying students and teaching piano at all campuses.

Key Responsibilities:

- Accompaniment of school concerts and soirees;
- Accompaniment for assemblies;
- Accompanist, Repetiteur for college biannual productions;
- Accompanist for VCE and VET music performance students;
- Accompaniment for scheduled performances, music camps and workshops;
- Attending relevant workshops, seminars, concerts, and professional development programs when required;
- A high level of professional proficiency in performance and sight reading in piano is required;
- Proven ability and recognised high level of accompanying proficiency;
- Liaising with ensemble conductors, and attending accompanying rehearsals and performances
- Meeting regularly with the Director of Performing Arts to review progresses and student needs, and prepare reports as needed

Teacher of Piano (approximately 1 day with potential to grow)
- Organisation of Musical items as requested for soirees, assemblies, demonstrations, and performances;
- Have the ability to work as a member of a team with an understanding of and interest in the total music program;
- Preparing and presenting performance opportunities for piano students;
- Attending Music Department meetings as required

Key Selection Criteria & Requirements
- Demonstrated high level of competence as an innovative piano teacher - beginner to advanced (Diploma) level;
- Demonstrated high quality teaching skills enabling students to reach their full potential;
- Demonstrated high level of competence as an accompanist across all instrumental areas to VCE and LMusA levels;
- Commitment to a quality music program and the development/growth in student numbers learning the piano;
- Demonstrated willingness to support the ethos of Padua College; including an active commitment to the College Mission and Vision;
- Familiarity with and compliance with Padua College’s Child-Safety and Wellbeing Policy and Code of Conduct, and any other policies or procedures relating to child safety;
- Familiarity with and compliance with legislated Occupational Health and Safety practices and participate in consultative processes to ensure workplace safety for staff and students;
- Maintaining currency of all relevant legislated and required College Occupational Health and Safety modules, and all First Aid and CPR Qualifications;
- Undertaking regular professional learning to maintain a high level of awareness of current and best practice in the major areas of responsibility associated with the role.
