Are you looking to start a career in Fraud and Financial Crime? Australian Military Bank are looking for a Junior Fraud & Scams Analyst to assist the Fraud & Scams Manager in prevention, detection and investigation of Fraud and Scams.

Your Role*
Reporting to the Fraud & Scams Manager, this role is responsible for assisting our members who are affected by Fraud & Scam related matters. The role will require end-to-end fraud and scam investigations and assistance with card transaction disputes. You will need excellent written and verbal communication skills and be highly organised in order to ensure our members are kept informed at all times and resolution is provided within strict timelines.
You will be part of a close-knit Financial Crime & Fraud team which encompasses all areas of Financial Crime, including digital fraud & scams, card fraud & card disputes, and anti-money laundering & counter terrorism-financing responsibilities. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to learn, cross-skill and work closely with all departments across the bank.
You must be a self-starter and autonomous in your work. You will be responsible for:

- Assist in inbound and outbound phone calls around fraud and scam related matters
- Assist the Fraud Analyst in daily card fraud alerts and actions
- Assist the Fraud and Scams manager with digital scam and fraud related matters
- Raise any escalations accordingly in a timely manner
- Provide recommendations for improving fraud and scam prevention, detection and reporting activities
- General housekeeping for Financial Crime and Fraud’s group inbox

**About You**
To be successful in the role you will demonstrate the below key attributes and experience:

- 6-12 months experience in customer service or financial services industry
- Professional phone manner
- Attention to detail
- An enquiring mind and willingness to learn
- Ability to multitask and tackle new tasks
- Understanding of Fraud & Scam types - Not essential although is advantageous
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Fraud/Scam experience advantageous but not essential
