**Summary**

The role of the Food Hub Manager is to oversee the day-to-day operations and processes of Food Connect Shed as it transitions from the founding team to its next stage of maturity and business growth. The role ensures the enterprise runs in a smooth, professional manner and that staff and tenants are directly and positively supported in their day-to-day work.

**About Food Connect Shed**
Food Connect Shed is a community-owned social enterprise located in Salisbury on Brisbane’s southside. It was founded in 2018 by the Food Connect Foundation, a non-profit working in food system advocacy and education, which has been responsible for seeding many enterprises and initiatives. We create place-based solutions for ethical entrepreneurs to do business and collaborate for food system change - from our commercial share-kitchen, to affordable office space and resources for small businesses, to community events space and much more.

**Key Responsibilities**
- supporting our tenants and community through quality collaborative relationships
- ensuring that day-today operations are carried out in accordance with all legal and regulatory requirements
- improving our circular economy processes
- developing business opportunities in line with our strategic plan, vision and values
- cultivating great relationships with our stakeholders
- supporting other team members to get the work done.

**Reporting**
This position reports directly to the Board and works closely with the Food Connect Foundation on striving for food system change

**WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR**
- At least 5 years’ relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with food services industry and/or property management
- An excellent understanding of Workplace Health and Safety standards
- A strong commitment to the mission and values of Food Connect Shed
