**Full time, fixed term contract - 12 months.**

The Cultural Engagement Officer plays a key role within the university to deliver culturally based social events for students from across the globe. In this position, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., student associations, volunteers, staff, service providers) to conceptualise, develop and deliver a suite of events and other initiatives focusing on cross-cultural learning, sharing, and celebrating.

**To be successful you will need**:

- Previous experience with extensive end-to-end event management, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating projects, and making recommendations for improvement.
- Ability to think creatively and independently to develop innovative cultural engagement projects.
- Time management skills to effectively organise and undertake multiple tasks, with competing deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work with people from diverse language and cultural backgrounds.
- Strong communicator with the ability to adjust diction for a variety of stakeholders.

**This position requires a valid Working with Children Check.
