**About the opportunity**

As the appointee you will, under general direction, be responsible for promoting and raising awareness of a medical research centre's mission, goals, and achievements through effective marketing strategies. You will work closely with the institute's research teams, senior management, and media outlets to develop and implement marketing campaigns that strengthen the institute's profile in the research community and engage with its stakeholders. You will also video graph and edit social media content to make it engaging, and provide reports on the effectiveness of social media and website analytics.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent competency
- Substantial relevant marketing experience, preferably in a medical research environment
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the demonstrated ability to set priorities and to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, social media platforms, and content management systems (such as Sitecore)
- Experience in videography and editing social media content
- Ability to provide reports on the effectiveness of social media and website analytics
- General knowledge of microbiology/medical research and associated education/regulatory environment is desirable
