We are currently working in partnership with a State Government department. They are looking to recruit a Procurement and Contracts Officer at either the AO4 or AO5 level, depending on your previous Government procurement experience, on a long contract until June 2024 with further extension likely offering $52.25-$65.35p/hr + super.

About the role:
As the Procurement and Contracts officer, you will undertake activities relating to ICT and General Goods and Services procurement activities to meet the needs of the Department. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop and enhance your Government procurement career with this influential Government department within two of the most sought after categories. If you are skilled in the transactional aspect of procurement this is the role for you.

Responsibilities will include:

- Prepare IT related procurement and evaluation plans;
- Prepare general goods and services procurement and evaluation plans;
- Prepare tender (Request for Quote (RFQ) or Invitation to Offer (ITO)) documentation and associated attachments
- Assist the business in undertaking both complex and non-complex low value procurement activities;
- Provide efficient and effective administrative support by undertaking activities associated with Procurement and contract administration
- Support customer purchasing processes by reviewing and releasing purchase orders using SAP
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal clients and external contractors for the purpose of achieving and sustaining customer satisfaction.

About you:

- Queensland Government experience or other State Government experience, essential
- High level of communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience in the use of SAP financial system
