Inbound Storeperson

Full Time Position
- Dayshift 5am - 1pm
- 63k Package plus early morning loading
- Cold Storage
- Altona North location

**The role of the Storeperson is to effectively & efficiently complete tasks pertaining to accurately picking, packing, transferring, storage, labelling and delivery sortation the right orders to the right customer at the right time. Has proven and demonstrated skills to the level required including appropriate certification.**

**Inbound**
- Perform task of container unloading.
- Restacking of goods as required and per specifications.
- Receive & process incoming goods, check for temp, date, weights, damages & discrepancies between stock & paperwork.
- Slip sheeting safely.
- Correctly label, stage, put away, transfer, move & replenish stock as required/requested.

**General Warehouse Duties**
- Ensure daily tasks, deadlines, targets, stock availability, quality, safety, housekeeping & customer SLAs are met.
- Effective housekeeping - ensure work areas are clean and tidy to promote a safe work environment.
- Remove empty pallets & recycle/waste streams from areas within site.
- Drive & operate forklift safely in accordance to Work Cover guidelines OH&S policy. This involves:

- Safely carrying out recharging activities & pre start checks.
- Driving, operating and parking the forklift according to safety requirements.
- General forklift duties.
- Ensure administration, RF & computer operations are up to date & complete, calculations & data entry’s’ are accurate.
- All paperwork completed accurately.
- Immediately inform team leader/supervisor of any issues; participate with leaders in resolving operational issues.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Ensures security policy and procedures are adhered in accordance with Mayer Fine Food.
- Support & maintain an awareness of the Operations Management System (Quality, OHS&R and Environmental), ensuring that all departmental activities meet the requirements of legislation, authorities and guidelines supplied by company.
- Assist to ensure that employee Workplace Health & Safety responsibilities are met by complying with the Company WH&S policies and procedures. As well as demonstrating a level of compliance with relevant legislation.
- Performs other duties as required.

**Essential**:

- **Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role and operating environment**:

- **Experience minimum 2 years in warehouse environment**:

- **Experience in inventory/stock control**:

- **Experience utilising WMS (Warehouse Management System)**:

- **Current & suitable forklift licence ( Crown high reach)**:

- **Experienced using MS Excel**:

- **Must have full working rights in Australia**:

- **Must be able to pass a police clearance**:

- **Must be able to pass a medical including a drug and alcohol test**

Desirable:

- Previous use of RF terminals/scanners
- Exposure to Lean Supply Chain, 5S
- Experience utilising MS Office
- Exposure to Quality Control/Assurance
- HACCP Risk Management
