**About the Centre/Service**

Pinewood Preschool is a friendly highly regarded sessional kindergarten that has been operating for over 50 years. In 2023 the preschool was rebuilt on the same site creating the Pinewood Child and Family hub, the hub houses a two-room preschool, Maternal Child Health centre and playgroups. Pinewood Preschool was rated as Exceeding in October 2023. Our new purpose-built preschool is amazing and has been designed to let nature inside with big open windows and doors allowing for natural light to stream inside, we are a well-resourced centre with activities and experiences to enrich the learning possibilities for all children. Pinewood Preschool is a community kindergarten managed by a supportive voluntary parent committee. Our long serving teachers and educators are professional, collaborative, caring and respectful in their work supporting children and families and believe in a positive and stimulating learning environment where children, families and staff feel nurtured, valued, respected and happy.

**Description**

Pinewood Preschool is seeking an experienced applicant for a part time Diploma Educator position commencing January 28th, 2025. The successful applicant will work alongside the existing Early Childhood Teachers and Educators on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Monday - 8.00am - 4.30pm - 3-year-old group

Tuesday - 8.00am - 4.30pm - 4-year-old group

Thursday - 8.00am - 4.30pm - 4-year-old group

We require a Diploma qualified educator preferably with experience in sessional preschools who will have strong interpersonal and communications skills and be able to work as part of a team to assist in the delivery of a high-quality program for our preschool. The ability to establish a positive, friendly rapport with children, families and other staff members is highly regarded. You must have sound documentation skills and a thorough understanding of the National and Victorian Early Years Frameworks, the NQS, and Child Safe Standards.

You will need to provide your WWCC, Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent as assessed by ACECQA, and Mandatory Reporting: Child Protection Training.

The successful applicant will be involved in obtaining their full First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training qualifications as part of the Pinewood preschool team in January 2025.
