**Technician / Splicer**:

- Date: 21 Aug 2023- Location: Brisbane, QLD, AU, 4000- Company: VentiaExperienced **Technician / Splicer** required to join our T**elecommunications Fixed Networks** team in Brisbane. This is a permanent position working across multiple contracts which will require you to work at night (on occasion) and travel, spending time away from home.

**About the Role**
You will be engaged in jointing / splicing activities and may supervise the work of less senior jointers / splicers. **It is essential that you have Telstra (and Telstra GOC) experience** and are self-motivated to achieve the required outcomes. You may also complete technical works across Panel / Wideband, Data IP and DOE projects. Other duties include:

- Completing fibre workbooks and mandatory safety paperwork daily
- Fault location and restoration using OTDR testing equipment
- Read and understand multiman and construction plans
- Cutovers and outages
- Assisting hauling and civil teams
- Ensuring appropriate tools, safety equipment and materials are available to complete tasks

**Required Qualifications**
- Telstra Advanced Jointer / Splicer accreditation
- ACMA licence
- Construction white card
- Current Australian drivers’ licence
- Desirable qualifications in First aid, CPR, Confined Space, Lv 2 traffic management, QLD Rail Inductions
