The Costa Mushroom team is passionate about growing the best quality mushrooms. Our carefully managed crops are tendered by our highly skilled team of committed growers. Department B manages the processing of the compost and all pre-production responsibilities as well as managing the daily sanitation of the farm.

**About the role**

Based in Nambeelup & reporting to the Production Operations Manager, we have an opportunity for an experienced Supervisor to join a small and supportive team. Working at the Compost Yard, this hands-on role is focused on the daily supervision of a small team and will involve ensuring that daily, weekly and monthly compost production plans and cleaning schedules are met and quality standards are achieved.

As an approachable, hands-on leader, you enjoy problem solving and will be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to Health, Safety and Quality policies and procedures. You will feel comfortable working in a farm environment with heavy machinery and is someone that is definitely not afraid to get their hands dirty We are willing to train the right leader in all of the interesting and sometimes challenging work that is compost production

Tasks involve:

- Ensuring daily, weekly & monthly compost production plans & cleaning schedules are met
- Looking after the pre-wet and phase 1 compost
- Monitoring and managing water dam levels
- Assisting with accurate stock takes especially straw stocks
- Assisting in SWP and risk assessment development
- Operation of machinery as per SWPs
- Ensuring appropriate staffing levels are maintained
- Assist in managing performance and development of team members
- Maintain compliance with all Company policies and procedures
- Ability to work under limited supervision and independently yet also work well as part of a team
- Report all incidents, accidents and near misses in accordance with the WHS policy
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Comfortable to work in an agricultural setting
- Excellent communication skills
- High levels of attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritise competing tasks
- High Risk (Forklift) & Front-End Loader licence (preferred)
