Position: Drainer/Pipelayer

**Salary**: _$30 - $40 an hour - Full-time_

**ABOUT THE BUSINESS**

Delcon is a reputable civil contractor based in Sydney with over 20 years of experience in the civil industry. We specialize in underground utility installations, bulk and detailed excavation, demolition, road construction, and offer plant and labour hire services.

Delcon Plant and Civil is seeking for highly motivated and skilled Drainer/Pipelayer to join our team on a full-time basis.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**
- Carry out site drainage and de-watering procedures, employing stormwater, sub
- soil and pumped systems
- Install septic tanks, effluent disposal and disinfections systems
- Locate and rectify blockages in drainage systems
- Replace sections of below ground drains
- Excavate and level to line, depth and grade
- Cut and joint piping
- Test various drainage systems
- Fabricate and install soil and waste stacks
- Install sewerage and effluent pumping equipment and disposal systems
- Install below-ground drainage systems and associated ground support systems
- Install flues and pressure regulating devices
- Set out and install below ground sanitary and stormwater drainage systems
- Plan method and sequence of assigned jobs
- Pre-order all materials required to perform assigned jobs
- Effect jobs in a safe and effective manner
- Ensure all jobs are completed as assigned
- Maintain personal appearance in a professional and neat condition

Successful applicants will need to demonstrate the following:

- Relevant qualification
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Pipelaying and Drainage work
- Valid Clean Driver Licence
- Excavator Ticket (desirable)
- White Card - Work Safely in the Construction Industry
- Verification of Competency for specific Heavy Equipment

**Salary**: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Penalty rates

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Sydney, NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Minexperience in Pipelaying and Drainage work: 2 years (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
