- Ensuring a strong and qualified project pipeline for the irrigation business, primarily in South Australia
- Build a network of contacts primarily with consultants and end users.
- Create demand (market pull) for products and services by winning specifications for future project work.
- Collaborate with Account Managers and Sales Managers to ensure joint understanding of projects at handover, including the strength of specification and pricing strategy.
- Retention and growth of key customers including dealers, consultants and end users maintaining personal contact with all key customers (buying and non-buying).
- Execution of the Performance Unit (PU) tactical plan including both sales and marketing activities.
- Deliver added customer value reflecting a sell-through mindset, demonstrating an understanding of end customer needs and where relevant, development of key end-user relationships.
- Be a leader and advocate for the use of pipeline and opportunity management within SAP CRM.
- Collaborate with all relevant stakeholders in the PU to achieve goals.
- Identify and execute new opportunities within the PU to increase SOW and potential growth areas.
- Conduct customer training in both online and face-to-face formats.
- Any other duties commensurate with the position as required.

Your required skills and experience include:

- Knowledge of the irrigation market, particularly in the area of Victoria, South Australia, or Western Australia preferred
- Successful track record in same or similar role can be considered a suitable and desirable qualification
- Recognised studies or certification within professional sales development, negotiation, and or business-to-business selling, in addition to a foundation technical qualification (Trade or Engineering) are desirable
- With at least 5 years experience in a technical sales role
- With at least 5 years experience in Ground Water and Irrigation market sector
- Demonstrable track record of achieving targets
- Demonstrable track record of developing trusted customer and stakeholder relationships
- With knowledge using SAP CRM
- Regional travel will be required as a part of this role
