Mechanical Fitter

BMR Engineering Pty Ltd are a locally owned and operated business that has been serving the Bunbury and South West Region for more than 20 years. We provide Machining, Fabrication and Maintenance Services to local industries, and we pride ourselves on providing high quality products and exceptional service to our clientele. We are currently seeking multiple, suitably qualified and experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our dynamic team. We have several different permanent, full time work rosters available and the flexibility to join our various shutdown rotations (daily DIDO) to earn extra income where desired.

The roles available include full time site-based works, and/or workshop based with site work rotations included.
- An Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
- Current C Class Drivers Licence (or the ability to obtain)
- Be safety conscious
- Have a positive attitude, and an eye for detail
- Be a team player
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening

**Duties include**:

- Read and interpret drawings
- Strip down gearboxes, pumps, exciters and miscellaneous machinery
- Assess above for damage, identify repairable items and compile an assessment report detailing replacement parts required
- Carry out repairs, including basic machining, and welding
- Maintain workspace cleanliness
- Basic machinery maintenance

**Desirable**:

- Working at Heights ticket
- Confined Spaces ticket
- Elevated Work Platform ticket

Remuneration ranges from $75,000 - $90,000 per annum and grows with site works and overtime. Remuneration will be tailored pending experience and qualifications, including paid travel for selected sites.
