**About Inner West Area Mental Health Services (IWAMHS)**
- IWAMHS has a strong team culture and values the development of its workforce. Based in Moonee Ponds, this role is an opportunity to develop skills and experience and contribute to the growth of mental health services in the community. This is a new role and IWAMHS is excited to offer an opportunity for an OT specific position with advanced scope of practice.**The Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapy will**:

- Use their advanced clinical leadership to drive profession specific standards, interventions and identity for occupational therapy in the community mental health service
- Model a high standard of clinical work, working within advanced scope of practice
- Support the development of the occupational therapy workforce compromising ELP, OT2 & OT3 clinicians
- Development and coordinate evidence informed and contemporary profession specific interventions in an integrated community mental health model
- Contribute to imbedding occupational focus for all people that have contact with Inner West community based service**
**About you**:

- You must have a qualification as an Occupational Therapist
- Extensive experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of severe mental illness and psychiatric disability
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and evaluate occupation focused interventions
- You are committed to developing your practice as a professional in clinical mental health
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership within the team and service, and drive high clinical standards
- You are able to contribute and function effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and enjoy working autonomously
- Excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in computer software use and information technology on the Microsoft Windows platform and ability to learn new programs and navigate databases
- Willing to work in a range of settings and some out of hours shifts
- Hold a current Victorian Driver’s Licence, and ongoing ability to use this form of transport**
