**ABOUT THE POSITION**

Position: Causal Cleaner

Hourly Rate: $31.86 + Super

Shift: Monday - Friday evenings 6pm - 9pm (5x Days)

Location: Large office in Chermside Shopping Centre

Note: Equipment and chemicals are provided onsite

**ABOUT YOU**
- Previous experience as a Cleaner (Highly Regarded)
- Exceptional Customer service skills
- Demonstrate a strong customer focus
- Well presented/ groomed with a likeable personality
- Good attention to detail.
- Good understanding and experience in WHS.
- Have effective communication skills.
- Adapts to change and open to learning new skills
- Current Police check (Highly Regarded)

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Mopping floors and cleaning up spills
- Sweeping and vacuuming
- Wiping and dusting
- Cleaning windows
- Clean bathrooms/toilets, including restocking dispensers, emptying rubbish bins, cleaning and sanitising fixtures, cleaning mirrors, spot cleaning partition doors and walls, sweeping and mopping floors
- Cleaning function rooms and communal kitchen
- Polishing surfaces
- Removing loose litter from the site and placed in the appropriate bin
- Emptying general waste and recycled waste and disposing of in the correct location
- Replacing bin liners
- Perform additional duties as required
- Sign in via the app digital sign-in system

**EQUIPMENT AND CHEMICAL RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Using the equipment within its capabilities and intended use
- Treating the equipment with care (e.g. removing power cords from the power outlet by the plug, not the lead)
- Visually check the condition of the equipment before use (e.g. for cord damage and the test tag is current)
- Promptly prevent the use of faulty or suspected dangerous equipment and inform your manager soon as possible
- Cleaning equipment after use
- Decanting of cleaning chemicals
- Operation of cleaning equipment
- Moving stock and equipment on site
- Informing your manager if the stocks of consumables are running low

**TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU MUST HAVE**:

- Passport and/or birth certificate **(proof of Australian Working Rights)** (Passport 12 months or more expiry)
- Be able to provide 2 professional references from paid employment
- Ability to use private transport or public transport to arrive to site on time
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
- Demonstrate and commitment to the cleaning position
- Be prepared to work evenings.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of WHS requirements
- Experience in a similar position as a cleaner
- Chemical handling experience is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and take pride in your work is essential
- Be able to demonstrate excellent time management skills
- A positive attitude and friendly attitude
