**About the Role**

We are currently seeking a team of passionate Disability Support Workers with Auslan skills to provide support to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. As a support worker, you'll have the opportunity to assist participants in developing essential skills, including personal care, cooking, domestic assistance, social support and relationship building.

**About You**

To be considered for this role, you will have:

- The ability to communicate using Auslan at a basic level
- Previous experience working with deaf individuals or within the Deaf community
- Effective communication skills with deaf individuals, utilising various communication methods
- Demonstrated patience and empathy in supporting individuals
- A commitment to continuous learning, and improving communication skills and cultural competence

**Requirements**:

- NDIS Worker Screening Card
- Working with Children Check
- Current police check conducted within the last 6 months
- Current first aid and CPR certificate
- Valid Australian driver's license (with a reliable and comprehensively insured car)
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability/Aged Care) or another relevant qualification

**Salary**: $35.00 - $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 38 per week

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
