Our client a large state government department is looking for a Principal Planner, to develop and support initiatives to increase the vibrancy, attractiveness and liveability of the allocated Innovation District through engagement and collaboration with a diverse set of government and non-government stakeholders.

**Principal Planner**

**Pay Rate: $600 p/d + Super**

**Location: Parramatta (with WFH working arrangements)**

**Duties**:

- Develop collaborative partnerships across government and external stakeholders to deliver excellence in relationship management and consensus building for high impact place-making.
- Implement the District’s place-making vision through effective stakeholder engagement, development of place-making initiatives, identification of funding sources to implement place related initiatives and program management of NSW Govt initiatives.
- Assure core place-making pillars are integrated into the Districts strategy, governance, and delivery plans; including consultation and agreed actions for First Nations; Sustainability; Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
- Engage and collaborate with stakeholders to build the District’s strategic identity as an innovation district and translate and manage this identity in place-making activation such as visual brand development and digital platforms, innovation programs, investor forums, community engagement initiatives and other initiatives.

**Essential Requirements**:
Tertiary qualifications in planning, urban design, sustainability, program management, public administration or equivalent and/or extensive relevant experience.
