About the Role
As an Information Security Analyst, you will provide security intelligence analysis in order to identify threats and qualify vulnerabilities. Working with the Information Security Manager, you will contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of security operations practices and frameworks.
You will be a critical hands-on technical resource with a strong depth and breadth of knowledge across the security environment. You will be focused on environment hardening and implement appropriate security mitigations, vulnerability detection and remediation, and responding to security incidents.
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience
- Intimate knowledge of industry security organisations, such as ACSC, CIS, NIST, DISA, etc, and the frameworks and control libraries they prepare and release
- Experience contributing to and implementing Cyber Security strategies
- Experience using automated penetration solutions/tools, such as Kali and the various tools provided
- Experience preparing, deploying and training colleagues on security playbooks
- Experience running simulated security events to validate efficacy of internal security controls and playbooks, as well as measuring response of third part SOC
- Working knowledge of security issues, techniques and implications across computer platforms
- Experience managing a SIEM system such as Splunk
- Strong analytical skills, customer service focus and commercial acumen
- Well-developed relationship management and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills
